Selangor Ketua Pengawas Camp

Heyya! I just came back from this really awesome Head Prefects of Selangor Camp in Hulu Langat yesterday. At first I didn't wanna blog about it or even touch in the laptop as a matter of fact but yeah, been facing actual, real books instead of Facebook and feeling really stressed out so, here I am.

When Pn. Asong asked me to go on Friday, seriously the first thing in my mind was NO. I didn't want to miss any lessons as it was for 4 freaking days and exams were already near. But then, luckily they didn't allow me to say no. :) Everything really, really happens for a reason.

It was damn amazing 4 days and 3 nights. The activities were normal camp activities lahh, but the main thing I'm so amazed by is that the fact that there's 143 head / head-to-be prefects from all over Selangor. Every district sent their representatives. We all went there as one, but we came back, all 143 united. I didn't know anybody there, except for Ash and Naar who were from NGO camp as well of course but we all got talking and couldn't stop. It was as if we've known each other for years.

my dorm mates :)

The activites were kinda fun and challenging, although they were tough but at the end of the day they really benefit those who dare to do them. They take people out of their comfort zone and actually tells us that we can do anything, just as long as we try.

Everyone shared alot of their prefects experience in school and I learnt loads by listening to them. I could be considered as one of the quiet ones there la. I wanted to talk, but I didn't really dare too, not till the last day where I told myself its now or never. So yeah, when they asked for wakil to berpidato, I insisted that I wanted to do it. Anddd wow, to be allowed to express anything you want about leadership, I was having the time of my life talking xD Public speaking maaa, my line of work. LOL. But it was in BM. I still felt it was bad although they said its good. Hmm.

Many important values were taught to us through ceramah's and those moral sessions. I hope you guys still haven't forgotten them and really, apply them in your life.
  •  People are given 2 ears and 1 mouth, to listen twice as much as they talk.
  • Whats the use of talking so much, to show yourself out so much when what you show is nothing and meaningless. Keep quiet, think, and just listen.
  • The more you speak, the more mistakes you make.
  • When one praises you, there are hundreds behind your back back-stabbing you.
  • A small mistake remains forever while nobody notices all the good deeds you do.
  • To be a good leader, you must balance out the 4Q's. Intellectual quotient, physical quotient, educational quotient and spiritual quotient.
  • Think out of the box and never stop trying.
There's too many to list down la. In a nutshell, this camp really changed the way we think about things and it also left us all a bond, never to be broken. Awwww mannn, *hearts*

friends for life.
